Bernardus Winery - Carmel, CA.

The “Ben Pon Room”, named after the winery’s founder, offers a private retreat at the Bernardus Winery in Carmel Valley, CA. Inspired by classic cigar lounges and Ben’s racing days, the Pon Room is a moody, sophisticated, and cozy place to tuck into for a nice glass of wine.

Scope of Work:

- Paint Color

- Ceiling Tiles

- Window Treatments

- Furniture

Banquette, dining tables, lounge chairs, coffee table.

- Decor/Accessories

Gallery walls, lighting, pillows.

One of the biggest challenges of this project was working within a tight budget. I was able to reuse existing elements such as the serving cabinet, dining chairs, light fixture, and various decor pieces, and saved further by thrifting all the frames for the gallery walls. This allowed me to allocate the remaining budget toward new furniture, accessories, and refreshing the space.

One of the most impactful changes was replacing the drop-ceiling tiles with faux bronze panels, which added depth and character. Additionally, shifting the wall color from white to Sherwin Williams 'Andiron' brought warmth and richness to the room.
